MSi X600 Notebook Review

MSi released the X600 as the larger cousin of the X340, a line of ultraportables that are slim, inexpensive, and look very good for their price range. To phrase it all up in a simple sentence, the X-Series line is a “poor man’s Macbook Air”. Sony VAIO X Series is in promo vid with classy music

9-05-09vaioxvideo

The razor thin Sony VAIO X series is a pretty thin laptop. Remember, it’s a freaky 0.55 inches thin! So as part of promotional purposes, Sony released a video with the X Series in it and classy music:

So far here’s what we know about it:

1. It’s CULV powered and runs off a lame Atom processor.

2. It’s thin (obviously).

3. It should retail for less than $2000 bucks. Ouch.

New Carbon Fibre Sony X Series totally floors Macbook Air and squishes it

500x_vaiofont

Sony has always made crazy thin laptops, until the Macbook Air came along, Sony was the slimmest guy around. Now they are again. The Sony X Series is an 11.2 inch carbon fibre ultraportable that’s 0 .55 inches thin, thinner than the 0.65 Dell Adamo and even thinner than the 0-.76 inch Macbook Air. The weight is 1.5 pounds, half of the Macbook Air. And Sony says it will have great battery life. But remember, this laptop might so expensive that it could by Sony itself.

Oh yeah, it has an Atom processor according to Engadget. Sony you just killed it, you killed one of the coolest looking laptops of all time. But you can still call the Macbook Air the “Macbook Fat”.
