It’s an amazing game console. Fully capable of playing the latest Nintendo titles in full 1080p HD, the Wii U uses a controller with a 6.2-inch screen, two analog sticks, front-facing camera, full set of custom controllers for Wii U, and a full gamepad. The controller allows you to play Wii U on your TV, but can also be played on the Wii U controller. Some games can even use the controller”s screen to add more interactive elements to the game/overall, it’s perhaps the most amazing game console of the decade, right along the original innovation that the original Wii created when it was announced. The Wii U is planned to be releaed next year in 2012.
Publishers also are very keen on developing for Wii U, as the DIRT franchise, Electronic Arts (including EA Sports and Battlefield), Super Smash Bros., Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’s: Ghost Recon, Tekken, and more will all come to Wii U in 2012. Press release after the invisible line.

Nintendo Wii goes ‘back in black’ with US release on May 9
by Stefan Etienne on 03. May, 2010 7:33AM in Gaming, Hardware, Nintendo

If there’s a cooler Nintendo Wii out there, it’s this one. The black Nintendo Wii has been out in other countries for centuries now, but finally there’s a glorifying PR that clearly states May 9 as the day you’ll be able to grab a fully black Wii for $199.99 that comes with a copy of Sports Resort and the Motion Plus adapter for your spanking-new black Wiimote. So now it brings the question: give us one reason why you’d buy the white model over the new black one? You would? That’s alright, you’re welcome to buying the white one too, in its old and over-used white plastic coloring.
Nintendo partners with Netflix to bring — Netflix on Wii
by Stefan Etienne on 13. Jan, 2010 10:27AM in Gaming, Hardware, Nintendo
Soon this spring Nintendo Wii owners will have access to Netflix’s media streaming services. Start at a minimum plan of $8.99 a month, users will have the same privileges as Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. As with the PS3, Wii owners will have to obtain a free disc from Netflix’s website, and will have to load the disc to actually stream content. The disc ships this Spring, and you’ll need a broadband connection on your Wii. What I’m wondering though is that since the Wii cannot go past the 480p mark, there will be no HD. Would you still bite?

Nintendo finally drops Wii price down to $199. It’s official!
by Stefan Etienne on 24. Sep, 2009 6:03AM in News
Well, after years of buying an over priced console, the Wii if officially going to be $199 instead of $249. Nintendo has confirmed it, and it is effective Sunday, so don’t buy your Wii till then! (But I wouldn’t buy a Wii anyway, a PS3 Slim is better.)
Anyway, now the Wii can go in combat with its enemies, namely the Xbox 360 and PS3, both which are sold at reasonable prices.
So what do you think? Will the Wii win again the holiday season, or will the might PS3 with all the awesome games that are coming up will swallow the non-HD Wii?
Oh yeah, check out my new Twitter Connect button near the comment box, it’s cool!
$199 Nintendo Wii price cut caught in conference call
by Stefan Etienne on 20. Sep, 2009 9:03AM in Hardware
The Nintendo Wii price cut rumor has been out for a long time now, but now it looks more real than ever. According to Nintendojo who were at a conference call, Nintendo “confirmed”" the price cut. Okay, this might not be real, but it’s a Nintendo conference call after all, so it should be real.
We’ll wait and see.
