It has a 7-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi access, and can be propped up like a digital photo frame, or carried around like a tablet. XPERIA X10 at the FCC, with its 40-page manual

image

Usually at the FCC, all new handsets and whatnot go to get pictured, dismantled, played with, picture it again, then play with it some more, waste time… but nevertheless some pretty good info comes out of those boring labs. The boring shot you see above is only a boring shot, but the 40-page user’s manual isn’t. That’s crawling with info, and I’d say if you want to buy the X10 (watch for thr Nexus One, mind you) you should take a look at your future instructions manual.

PlayStation Motion Controller was called Gem

image

In the world of executives slipping product names we have (at least) the codename for Sony’s Playstation Motion Controller. According to EA’s John Riccitiello, at the UBS 37th Annual Global Media Conference who spoke of Microsoft’s motion controller, Natal; in the same sentence he spoke of Sony’s motion controller — Gem. But according to Sony, “Gem” was the codename, and the actual name isn’t even in existence yet. But Gem wouldn’t be too bad, would it? Right.
