Picture of Motorola Droid leaked, I didn’t expect this

motorola_sholes_droid_leak_live_1

I had a feeling I would be a bit let down by Verizon. The Droid is officially the Motorola Droid, and has a slide-out keyboard, runs Andriod 2.0, and has a 5 megapixel camera. And some of you might have read this line that ended the leaked Andriod 2.0 screenshots article at Boy Genius Report.  The Boy Genius said, “And it could help that it’s running on a pretty bad ass piece of machinery, but hey, that’s for another day.”

Now, Verizon had an ad that represented the iPhone as the “iDon’t”. To me the Motorola Droid says, “iDon’t look good”. This is not a very pretty phone by any chance, but it probably houses features that could blow our minds. We’ll wait for the official release date of October 30th.

samsungMomentPhone

Here, here! The Samsung Moment from Sprint, running Andriod, for the price of $179, with a giant QWERTY keypad. Okay, might not be your type of phone, but that’s one comfortable looking keyboard!

According to Sprint it sports an 800 mhz processor, a fancy 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, then there’s the in-your-face 3.2 megapixel camera, and a optical trackpad. For $179, it is a pretty good deal. Coming out November 1st.

New Rumor: Palm to release "Pixie" WebOS smartphone this week

palm_eos-169x300

The Palm Pixie. That’s the name of Palm’s second WebOS smartphone, the first being the Palm Pre. It will debut at Fashion Week in New York this week.  It will have the same operating system as its cousin the Palm Pre, but will be half the price ($99).

The specs, from Engadget, show that the Pixie stand up to its name:

  • Dimensions: 10.6×55x111mm
  • Weight: 100 grams
  • 2.63″, 320×400 capacitive touch screen
  • 4GB of internal memory
  • Tentative price of $349 before rebates. Our sources are indicating that the target price point is $99 after all is said and done.
  • 2MP camera, fixed focus, with flash
  • Bluetooth 2.1 w/ A2DP and EDR, USB 2.0 via micro USB
  • 1150mAh battery, removable
  • SMS, MMS, built-in IM client
  • A-GPS
  • WAV, MP3, AAC, AAC+ ringtones, MPEG4, H.264, H.263 video playback.

So really this is a budget smartphone, not a smartphone.

What carrier it will be on is unknown at this time though, just hope it won’t be on AT&T.

Dell Mini3i phone for China has no Wi-fi or 3G, but it's real

500x_dellmini1_01

The cellphone Dell has made for China Mobile is no modern phone at all. It has no Wi-fi or 3G, but it does have a 3.5 inch touchscreen and Micro SD slot, as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera. Andriod Open Base Mobile System is the OS it houses, with that shiny Dell logo on the back, 2 volume keys, and a resolution of 360 x 640.

500x_dellmini2_01

I don’t like it too much. No 3G? No Wi-Fi?? No release date yet for China, and hopefully none for the US.

Come on Dell, no 3G??
