Motorola Calgary/Droid Devour spotted in the wild

The Motorola “Calgary” otherwise known as the Droid Devour (pretty catchy, huh?) has now been seen sporting a silver paint job (instead of black), and Boy Genius claims that according to the source, the Calgary has GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3 megapixel camera, no SIM card slot, Android with MOTOBLUR, 1420mAh battery, and is very obviously headed to Verizon (see that badge?). The source also said it was “easier to use” and the keyboard was “nice”. Also they mentioned that the above handset is not the final-production model, so let’s wait and see what Motorola is up to?

Another rumor, so get you pepper shakers ready. Acc0rding to AndroidSPIN, version 2.0 of Android (or 2.1) is headed to the G1, which is the very first Android phone that was created. This would be exciting, and interesting, but wouldn’t mean I’d have to re-work the G1 Review that’s supposed to be on the site, in like, less than 12 hours? Stay Tuned.
Going back into Apple Tablet rumors (and full news coverage at LaptopMemo), we’ve learned that the mysterious, strange, and secret Apple tablet has the possible name of iSlate. Why? Well, back in 2007, Apple registered the iSlate domain under an intermediary (so they’re not found out to be the actual owners). Even though this is a double rumor, there are some decent explanations that could explain why Apple owns this domain. first for example, it could just be to protect the “i” that Apple is famous for, or it could be that’s it’s for the tablet, and it could even be for a future project Apple has in mind.
