Get FroYo On Your Motorola DROID. And That’s An Order.

According to a colleague of mine, AKA Sir Bettiol of BGR and England, MyDroidWorld has an official Android 2.2 ROM for the Motorola DROID. All you have to do is follow the step-by-step instructions to get started, and you’ll be up to your head in frozen yogurt in no time. One thing to point out for you guys is that the ROM is completely “perfect”, except it doesn’t include Wi-Fi (read: suck), but that should be panned out before the official Moto Android 2.2 OTA comes out, right? In the meantime, hit up the source link. Another note: it’s completely your fault if it “screws up”, as the developers say.

HTC Mondrian leaked with super specs and Windows Phone 7

The HTC Mondrain is rumored to be the first Windows Phone 7 device made by HTC — which is the render you see to the left. Found in a leaked .cab file as part of a WP7 ROM, the Mondrian has a 4.3″ WVGA display, 1.3GHz processor, 5 megapiel camera with HD video capture, digital compass, and the Qualcomm QSD8650A/B Snapdragon processor supports both GSM and CDMA, meaning that it wouldn’t only go to AT&T as is believed, but it would be available on other carriers as well. Of course, that’s just more salt on this already salty rumor. Still, it’s some good work by the XDA-Developers.

Sprint Hero’s Android 2.1 update leaked for your Eclair pleasure?

If the Samsung Moment could get Android 2.1 earlier today, then the Sprint Hero getting it officially tomorrow wouldn’t be a shocker, would it? The dude at AndroidCentral called Jerry has gotten word in a leaked version of the OS, which in extreme theory should work. And if it doesn’t, you get a bricked phone. We’re not telling you to try it; we’re just telling where it is so you can try it. (read: Mwahahah!)

HTC Desire Sense UI ROM hits the Nexus One with Flash

For those of you Nexus One owners who are coveting the HTC Desire’s Sense UI, Paul at MoDaCo has uploaded what he calls an alpha leak of the Desire’s ROM. Though it isn’t a beta, meaning that it is prone to disastrous problems, you can at least try to check this out without having fear of completely messing up your phone, although that’s still possible. And did I mention Flash 10.1 is included? Exactly, this is perfect way to mess up your new shiny N1! Check out the video first after the break, and then head straight to MoDaCo, ASAP.

HTC HD2 will get specs jump for US release

Looks like the HTC HD2 will get 1GB of ROM and 576 of RAM for its US release on T-Mobile, while the overseas model only has 512MB ROM and 448MB RAM. The US-bound model will also get a bigger storage card: 16GB instead of the quaint 2GB for the global model. You might think is perfect: a phone that you want will only get better once it comes out. Think again, carefully: according to speculation from not too long ago, Windows Mobile 7 requires more RAM and ROM. Exactly, the HD2 might get WM 7 at the Mobile World Conference next month. HTC HD2 coming to T-Mobile in March 2010?

image

A leaked, early ROM sent to WMExperts reveals that yes, the HD2 should be headed to T-Mobile, but late, in March 2010. The ROM also hinted at a version called 2.0.1, which could probably smooth over the bugs that made the 1.61 Windows Mobile 6.5 HD2 so, unsatisfying. All of those .nbh files keep on saying “yes” to the T-Mobile network, so yes it is. Now where’s that calendar…. nah, don’t need it.
