BlackBerry Playbook Seen In Action For More Than 9 Minutes. 10 Minutes, Actually

The lucky weasels at BGR — Mr. Magician Boy Genius primarily -- got to record a full 1080p HD demo of the BlackBerry PlayBook, and to see some of its extremely fine points. Trust me, with this running loose and Android 3.0 on tablets, the iPad will have to make more than one tweak to stay relevant. In order not to spoil any awesomeness for you, I’ll just embed the video up there for you to watch. It’s only 10 minutes, and it’s in 1080p so that’s a great excuse. Via: BGR

RIM Gets The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) Under Its Belt, Might Make A Big Change

Have you heard of concept phones? See how pretty they are, but no one ever makes them? Even the software the run is out of this world, and still — they’re never made. TAT (The Astonishing Tribe) is a company of said profession, even developing software systems for cars. Long financial/acquisition story cut short, RIM has bought the company. This either means your next BlackBerry will carry the most awesome looking interface of all time, or RIM will keep the company behind the scenes. Either way, it’s a good cookie to have in the jar for the upcoming QNX-based OS for RIM.

Blackerry 9300, 9670, and 9800 Slider all get demoed (video)

So if you’re still sticking with Blackberry and Research In Motion, then this should be a great sound to your ears. To cut it short, Salomondrin has acquired three Blackberry handsets, all of them unreleased. Starting with the boring 9300 Curve, onto the ugly 9670 flip (older model), and the almost-famous 9800 slider running OS 6.0. Grab your popcorn (or with this weather, some proper lemonade), and watch the videos after the jump!

Blackberry Curve 9300 Leaks Out, Came With BlackBerry OS 5.0?

So yeah, this is interesting. Jon4lakers as he is usally known is my favorite guy when it comes to gadget videos (especially in his head-to-head matchups!). Anyways, back to my job to delivering you the fine reader, tonight’s 10:29 PM Eastern Time news. The Blackberry Curve 9300 (on the left side) has been leaked out, with only a small trifle of new features. Besides the outdate OS 5.0 making an appearance, the prototype packed some redesigns (reead: different plastics), 3G European bands, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The hands-on video, is at the source link everyone!**

**Oh, and BTW, this is only making RIM look even worse. This is bad publicity if RIM keeps on pumping out outdated and weak phones like these.

BlackBerry Bold 9800 Press-Like Shots Get Leaked

The Blackberry Bold 9800 slider look sexy now, doesn’t it? We’ve seen it in leaked, blurry pictures, then crisp HD video, and then just some random rumors, but now we have some pretty nice looking press shots for the Bold 9800, where there are more than you can shake a giant stick at in the gallery below (actually that’s when you hit up the source link).

Blackberry Bold 9800 Demoed On HD Video, In Complete Silence

Well, finally there’s a picture (in this case video) that doesn’t make the Bold 9800 the ugliest-looking phone ever made. And this isn’t your normal looking leaked video either; maybe Mr. BlurryCam finally bought a real digital camera with HD 720p video recording?  However way you spin it, the music player, web browser, AT&T service screen, interface, and everything else that matters was demoed in the video (including poor multitouch), after the cut. No release date mentioned however; the guy in the video is like The Stig, as the man with fat fingers doesn’t utter a single word.

This Actually Looks Really Nice: New Blackberry Bold 9800 Shots Leak

I’ve been bashing the Blackberry 9670, and its cousin, the Bold 9800. But you know what? Throw everything I said into the bin, because according to The Berry Fix, this is a production-level late prototype; something we would see as the final design. Interestingly though, there’s an AT&T splash screen, and according to the source of the leak, not a bit of SurePress to be found anywhere. That’s quite appealing, if you ask me, frankly. There’s a gallery of shots waiting for you at the source link. Source: The Berry Fix, The AT&T Splash Screen
