HTC Incredible found in Verizon Wireless’ system, launch approaching

None of us have forgotten about the HTC Incredible (mostly), a 1Ghz Snapdragon-powered Android 2.1 with Sense UI smartphone. As seen in its last leak, the Incredible will be on Big Red’s network, and the guys and gals at BerryScoop have snatched a screenshot of Incredible in Verizon’s system. Usually when a handset is “in the system” an official launch comes soon after. The first SKU, ARD6300DU is for the launch kit which is sent to stores for display units and promotional reasons, while the second SKU is actually for the Incredible. One thing mentioned by the tipster is that the Nexus One is not yet indexed by Verizon, so it may not come as soon as we think.

B&N Nook flyer is in the wild, has glossy feel

Well, look at what we have here. At a local Barnes & Noble in Aventura, Florida, employees are handing out glossy Nook flyers. It’s double-sided, but doesn’t show the price, release date, or shipping date. According to the worker who handed me this, the Nook is coming out “next week”; we all knew that already. Look for the Nook on November 30th, and report back to LM if you happen to get yours early.

Motorola DROID coming November 6, pre-orders start at 6AM

Motorola is finally coming back!

The Motorola DROID, set for a November 6th launch with Verizon, aka “Big Red”. Pricing starts at $199.99 with a 2-year-contract. The price though can make the iPhone cringe, because of the specs: 3.7″ WVGA capacitive display, sliding QWERTY keypad, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, 720×480 video capture at 24 fps, GPS (the DROID is the first device to feature Google Maps Navigation which provides free turn-by-turn voice navigation), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Exchange support, 6.4 hours of talk time, including a 16GB card built-in.

Now in order to get your hands on the $199 DROID, October 29 through November 6 are the dates that you can get a pre-order at BestBuy. 6AM sharp. Remember that the deal is only at Verizon stores, so if you can head over to BestBuy, you’d be in the advantage.
