BestBuy Starts Taking Pre-Orders For T-Mobile G2

Yes, this is an exclusive press shot of the T-Mobile G2.

Moving on, BestBuy Mobile is now willing and ready to let you pre-order the G2 from T-Mobile for $199.99 on a 2-year contract which will launch in stores on October 6. Many of you have written to express their concerns about how awesome the G2 is, but also how you hate the idea of an 800MHz Qualcomm processor.

Well, don’t be. This is a new series of Snapdragon built on the 45nm process, much like what’s in your laptop now. This meaning the new Snapdragon saves more energy, is cooler, and despite being clocked at 800MHz, runs faster that an older 1GHz Snapdragon.

Dell Streak goes on pre-sale — sort of, plus has a cool deal

The Dell Streak, with a release of “late July”, as according to the teaser page, is on that type of emailing list where you are informed of it coming out, then you’ll receive free 2nd business day shipping, along with with “an exclusive coupon code for a 99¢ Plantronics Bluetooth Headset.” Interestingly, the cool deal doesn’t sound bad, and the second Dell source link leads you to the new product page, full of awesome press photos and features on the Dell Streak.

Motorola DROID X Now On Pre-Order At BestBuy, For $200

The Motorola DROID X is no wimp, that’s for sure. A 1GHz Snapdragon, 4.3-inch WVGA multitouch screen (with multitouch keyboard), Android 2.1 with a pleasant version of MOTOBLUR, 8 megapixel camera for 720p shootin’, and finally Android 2.2 in the works.So it comes as no surprise that BestBuy has outed its usual “no mail-in rebate crap” deal with the DROID X. For $200 (with taxes and excuses like that) on a 2-year Verizon contract you can pre-order the big X now, without any of those pesky “mail-in rebates”. Pfft.

Want a Microsoft motion-sensing, video playing Natal? Yes? Well remember that it’s no longer called the Natal, but the Kinect. Starting at $149 for pre-order on Microsoft’s own Xbox store, don’t be surprised if there’s a price drop or anything else tasty as launch date nears. Also, if you have that old Xbox 360 Fat, you’ll need to plugin the AC adapter that comes with it. Have a new Xbox 360? Well gamer, just plug it straight it. What I’m saying is that it’ll be easier if you shed for a new Xbox. Yeah.

iPhone 4 Available For Pre-Order – But Just In Black

The iPhone 4, is available for pre-order on Apple’s online Store, for about $199.99 on a 2-year contract with AT&T. I’m told that the white iPhone 4, is obviously not on sale. That’s interesting, due to the fact that it’s been circling the rumor mill for quite a while now that Apple wouldn’t ship out the white iPhone as soon as we thought it would. Quoting the Apple Store, “White iPhone currently unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup.” You can get it in black though, for $199 with a 16GB hard drive, or $299 for 32GB. Once you pre-order the phone, you can have it exactly June 24, or available for in-store pick-up.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 3GS is available for $99 (8 GB storage) — it too will be available on the 24th.
