Google Says: Nexus One Doesn’t Support 802.11n Wi-Fi (for now)

Contrary to the teardown of the Nexus One that made us believe that it could receive 802.11n Wi-Fi signals, Google is now siding with HTC’s specs, claiming that for the time being, the N1 will not support it. Hopefully that means that an OTA update can fix that.

Nexus One rooted before it’s even announced?

Nexus One and Google have been: Pwned.

We don’t know if it’s true, but the Nexus one seems to have been rooted by some guys at the Modaco forums according to admin Paul. It’s hard to believe, but the picture on the right which came from a forum member seems to be all the confirmation needed. Instructions for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X users is at the second source link. Now how about you hackers hack the Nexus One to have multitouch? Deal?

Nexus One dock appears from the FCC

Maybe the Nexus One will go as the most-leaked smartphone of all time. I don’t know if it will be, or if it is, but I’ll stop right there. Because we’ve got another Nexus One leak for you, courtesy of the leaking-happy FCC. The Nexus One dock includes Bluetooth, but the N1 itself already has Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, so there probably is another motive here. The model number is CR B410, and besides the figure above, and knowledge of it having Bluetooth 2.1, we’re pretty much in the dark.
