So, it’s Thursday night. Not that that means anything, other than some lonely tech stories and the pricing with release date for the Tegra 2 dual-core Android 2.2 powerhouse — the Motorola Atrix 4G.
First off, all by itself, the Atrix will cost you $200 on a 2-year agreement with AT&T, and comes out on the 6th of March. If you want the snazzy laptop dock that turns the phone into a laptop that can browse the full web on Firefox (why not Chrome, Motorola?), then you can pay $500 for both the phone and the dock. The Catch-22 here is that the dock costs $500 with the phone, and $500 without the phone. So really, if you want the dock, it’d be better to shell out $500. And if you can’t stop, then invest in the Entertainment Access Kit, which has a Motorola HD Multimedia Dock, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and a remote control for $189.99 — because Motorola really likes your money.
But hey, what’s wrong with a $200 dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2, Android 2.2 with MOTOBLUR, 1GB of RAM, 4-inch qHD high-res display, 5 megapixel camera (720HD recording and 1080p HD through an upcoming update) with a VGA front-facing cam, and HSPA+/4G Android phone? Nothing wrong with that awesome spec sheet, right?
PR after the line-break.
