Tron: Legacy Razer Gaming Mouse Review

Razer has the rights to produce some official Tron: Legacy gaming gear. Perhaps what is the crown of the series is the gaming mouse, complete with a 5600dpi sensor and 7 buttons (the usual 2 on top with scroll, two on the right, and two on the left). It’s a wired-only mouse, which is unfortunate, and is entirely built out of plastics. But it lights up and has a speaker for some “special” sounds when it’s plugged in. Oh, and it’s $100 (thanks to Razer for letting me test it for days). Now just jump past the break for the full review.

Microsoft’s Arc Touch Mouse Finally Unveiled, But Launches In December *frowns*

I really want the Arc Touch Microsoft. Pretty please?

The Arc Touch’s main features are a touch sensitive silver strip which is programmable on Windows computers, and a design where applying pressure to the ‘arc’ turns it off by setting it flat, and turning it on by doing the exact opposite motion. For $69.95 Microsoft will begin taking pre-orders today, and a launch is set in stone sometimes this December (which disappoints a little). The mouse is officially only supported on Windows, but Joanna Stern (from Engadget, mind you) managed to get it working automatically with the USB dongle which comes in the box on a Mac.

Full presser after the jump!

Microsoft’s Arc Touch mouse revealed by German retailer? Here, take a look:

The Arc Touch? It’s totally awesome man. Like gnarly dude! Just look at it! The mouse can “arch” itself to be like a gaming mouse, then folds itself dead-flat for easy travel!! The features are touch-scrolling, a battery indicator, the ability to track on most any surface, and a 2.4GHz nano transceiver that no doubt plugs into your laptop’s USB port. For €69.99 ($69.95 rumored) and a ship date of 5-10 days, according to notebooksbilliger in Germany, this’ll get pretty official, pretty quick.

Windows drivers for the Magic Mouse should work like magic

windows-magic-mouse-hack-600

A smart hack extracted the drivers from Boot Camp, which allowed users on Macs that are running Windows to use the Magic Mouse in Windows. That driver has been extracted and is available to all who wish to use the magical Magic Mouse on their Windows PC; which in the end becomes magical. I’ll stop using the “magical” reference now.  Hit Uneasy Silence for the drivers.
