For those of you waiting for iPhone OS 4.0, you’ll have to wait longer. The new iPhone OS 3.1.3 is available now, and brings mainly bug fixes for apps and corrects the accuracy of the battery meter on the iPhone 3GS. Not much by far, but it’s one step closer. Get downloading on iTunes, okay?
AT&T has released a new app for you to download, and it’s free: It’s called “Mark the Spot. It basically tells AT&T where their coverage sucks, and what they need to improve -- from data errors, bad signals, dropped calls, and everything else that AT&T is famous for. Expect a hurricane of reports on network failure, in different areas. See, there’s even an app for telling AT&T they suck. There’s an app for that too. [iTunes]
This is looking nice. It’s time for PMPs (portable media players) to come into the party (or Christmas, your choice). Translation: iPod and Zune are included. Average price: $150+ (it depends). Are there good ones in this guide? Yes. Is the Zune HD and iPod Touch in here? Yes, oh yes. Let’s take a look around here, shall we?
That’s about it for now. Apple has acquired music streaming startup company, Lala. What Lala does for a living is allowing users to stream music from Lala’s gigantic music catalog without any advertisements whatsoever. A user can build a list of music that they like, and stream it from any web browser. Essentially it’s iTunes in cloud-style. Pretty neat stuff. Though now we have to wait an see what Apple will be doing with Lala by its side.
