iOS 4 now available on the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and then some

So! Have you gotten yourself iOS 4 yet? If you haven’t, here’s what you need to know to get it. First, look at  your device. If it’s the iPhone 3G, 3GS, or by some chance the unreleased iPhone 4 (contact me if you have it), then you’d be good to go. For precautions back up your files when plugging in your iPhone to iTunes (9.2 is the requirement), and new iPod Touch owners should also be in luck. The build’s reference number is 8A293, just to be sure that it’s the real thing and brings the iBooks app, Bluetooth wireless keyboard support, multitasking, unified email inbox, and folders, much like Android 2.1 and 2.2. Apparently, Apple and Steve Jobs claims that the new iOS has 1,500 new features, so I’ll let you live through the glory to find out all of them, yourself.

iPad Apps Are Live, Get ‘Em Before Everyone Else, But Don’t Use Them Till Saturday

iPad Apps are now live at the iTune App Store. Wow, it’s magical and revolutionary! Just kidding, just kidding. Really, Apple could’ve just held off until people actually have the iPad, but there’s no harm done when people can browse through hundreds of new iPad apps, of which is 11 pages worth, right? Be prepared with your credit card, because buying the iPad isn’t the only thing, you’ll have to cough up some extra dough since iPad apps are closer to real desktop ones, which is a win/win and a lose/lose of sorts. Well-recognized apps like BrushesTwitteriffic, and the Wall Street Journal are all sitting there waiting to be bought. Go check it out at the source link, you’ll like it.
