Mac OS X Ported To Cr-48, Some Dude Started Off The Year Perfectly

What do we have here on this slow news evening? A Cr-48 Chrome laptop running Mac OS X. That’s right, all hell breaks loose, and this is a true show of the awesome jailbreak mode that Google endorses that you use on a Cr-48. While there were some issues with the OS running on the Cr-48, it seems close to flawless when starting up and performing tasks. I’d give super props to YouTuber Damis648, but only until he releases his recipe to the masses, until then, it’s only “congrats”. Check out the video by clicking the more link. Latest Snow Leopard Build dosen’t work on Hackintoshes

The latest developer build for Snow Leopard – 10.6.2, once again kills the Atom support for netbooks, so that means if you’re running a Hackintosh, do not update. If you really want to see what happens when you get the latest build – well, the above vid is just for that.

New Dell Inspiron 11z thin-and-light starts at $399

dell-inspiron-11z_4

For the mourners of the dead Dell Mini 12, Dell may have a worthy replacement for you.

The Dell Inspiron 11z is a 11.6 inch netbook with a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 723 processor, 11.6″ HD WLED Display, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, Intel® GS45 Integrated Graphics, and a 3 cell battery. All of this for $399, which isn’t that bad. You also have a 1.3 megapixel camera and a HDMI port, and of course Vista Home Premium is included too, though I would wait for Windows 7 so I don’t have to shed a dollar for the upgrade.
