HTC Has Its Eye On EVO 4G Screen Sensitivity Issues, Separation Ones Too

The EVO 4G, much like any other handset in the market, has had its fair share of defects and problems. Two of the only real problems with Sprint’s EVO (no, it’s not the battery, its just too powerful for its own good) are the screen slightly separating from the main frame, and the screen being too sensitive. Both, are being resolved by HTC, pronto:

  • The manufacturing process of the EVO is being closely looked at, so that not many screens would “come out” of the frame.
  • As for the sensitivity: a software fix will be blasted over-the-air soon enough.

Nice work, HTC.

Simple fix to cure all Nexus One 3G signal issues?

That’s right. According to a user called JkOnTheRun, there’s a simple way to fix all of your Nexus One 3G woes. Head into Settings, then Wireless Controls > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > and then “Select Automatically”.

This will make your Nexus One reestablish a connection with the T-Mobile 3G towers, and a good one as a matter of fact. Some users report getting 3G where they used to get EDGE. Try it out and comment here if everything works out okay?

Motorola’s Droid is getting its first OTA update “in the coming weeks”. The update – Android 2.0.1, refines Bluetooth, fixing the 5 megapixel camera’s famous error of not being able to focus on anything, voice quality, and “several bug fixes and behavior changes, such as application resource selection based on API level and changes to the value of some Bluetooth-related constants.” The changelog from Google is here. And did you realize that this means the Android 2.1 SDK is available? Yup, nice work Google.

Sprint Hero gets an update straight from Sprint

sprint-hero-front

Listen up folks. The Sprint Hero has a new update from Sprint;  no, it doesn’t add Android 2.0, although HTC says the Sense UI is getting ready for it;  it’s a bug-cleansing fix. Coming at around 3748377 bytes, firmware 1.56.651.2 fixes SMS issues that drained the battery and so forth. I haven’t noticed any changes in our Sprint Hero, but let’s leave that for the comments. But,  have you noticed anything new?
