DigiTimes! They have lead the entire gadget blog world in a merry-go-round chase with the Apple Tablet. This time the geniuses at DigiTimes say that the Apple Tablet has been delayed – again – because of the OLED option it will have. In fact, the OLED screen will be 9.7 inches, and it’s manufactured by LG, and because of the economic climate, the Apple Tablet will be pushed to a Q2 2010 release date.
DigiTimes:
The sources also indicated that in addition to Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), Quanta Computer and Pegatron Technology are expected to be manufacturing partners for Apple’s two tablet PC models – one of which will have a 10.6-inch TFT LCD panel while the other will have a 9.7-inch OLED panel. However, the sources did not explain how production for the two models would be split between the three makers.
We’ll see. And wait. A bit longer.
