So, when was the last time we heard news of the Galaxy S II making its way to the United States? Quite a while, acutally. But today, that has changed for AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S II that is probably branded under another name — and seen above with its HDMI dock. More waiting, it seems. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to do other things (i.e., read, listen to the Google Music Beta app, or play Minecraft). Oh, and about pricing, the HDMI dock is purportedly going to cost $68 (if that’s even true, which no one really knows).

PlayStation Vita Made Official, AT&T Will Carry The 3G Model
by Stefan Etienne on 06. Jun, 2011 10:21PM in Breaking, Gaming, Mobile, Sony

It’s the Next-Generation Portable (NGP) with a final name, specs, and price as according to Sony’s E3 2011 keynote. The PlayStation Vita costs $249 for a WiFi model, while AT&T has the exclusive 3G model in the United States, which costs $300, which is rather well-priced, which also means the PlayStation Vita has access to over 20,000 WiFi hotspots hosted by AT&T across the country. Final specs include front and rear cams, Wi-Fi with optional 3G, the amazing 5-inch AMOLED display, GPS, six-axis motion sensors, three-axis electronic compass and touchpads on both sides, which can control games and perform rather amazing things. The launch for the PS Vita is this holiday season.
Apparently, AT&T Is Buying T-Mobile From Deutsche Telekom For $39 Billion
by Stefan Etienne on 20. Mar, 2011 2:34PM in AT&T, Breaking, T-Mobile, WTF
AT&T is buying T-Mobile. Oh noes? Depends. AT&T has agreed to buy T-Mobile from its parent company, Deutsche Telekom, for a beefy $39 billion. It’s a bold move, which also expands their “4G” network as well. This means there is also a GSM monopoly in the United States. And of course, as per government regulatory approval, the deal should be finalized within the next 12 months. Press release after the cut. Via: AT&T

AT&T has announced today that RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 3G and Pearl 3G will be available on their network. The Curve 3G will be available for $99, and the Pearl 3G for $149, both with 2-year contracts. The Curve 3G will feature BlackBerry 6 and there is no comment on if the Pearl 3G will feature BlackBerry 6 or not. What a great addition to AT&T, along with the just released Torch!

Review: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
by Stefan Etienne on 12. Sep, 2010 12:46PM in Android, AT&T, Mobile, Reviews, Sony Ericsson

It’s Sony Ericsson’s first entry into the Android marketplace here in the United States, and they weren’t fooling around when doing so. If your brain can remember, but last year SE showed us all the first 1GHz Snapdragon in an Android smartphone: the XPERIA X10. But with a release delayed by nearly a year, tons of other Androids took the lead in the Snapdragon race. Here, I tested, annoyed, scrutinized, and tortured the AT&T Xperia X10 for the two weeks I’ve had this loaner.
That could only mean the 13-Year-Old Gadget Blogger’s take on it is after the break.
