Once again, renowned tech site All Things D is making a very bold prediction seemingly backed by insider sources: the iPad 3 will be announced by Apple at a press event in early March (specifically in the first week, then launched in the 2nd or 3rd week), which is not too far away. It would have a faster processor, Retina display, and nearly the same design as the iPad 2. We shall see. Via: All Things D

Apple iPad 2 Review: All Tablets Should Be As Good As Or Surpass This
It’s the most hyped tablet of them all — the iPad. Once mocked for its funny name in its first iteration, competition began losing to it, and the tide changed (and also everyone bought one). Now the iPad will approach its 1-year anniversary in 2 days (as of time of this writing). So within less than a year, the iPad 2 has been released. Exact sales numbers have not been outed, but considering that no one can buy one (unless you have awesome internet friends, like I do), they are expected to be quite high.

So, Comex Has Jailbroken The iPad 2
A picture is worth a thousand words. Comex, famed iOS hacker, has jailbroken the iPad 2, and above it is seen running Cydia. A public release will be inevitable, but for that, the hackers will just have to wait.

iFixit Tearing Down The Apple iPad 2 As I Type
Today, iFixit is doing their usual actions, as usual, by taking apart the latest gadgets piece by piece, then putting them in right and working order again, then assigning a score to say how easy it is to dismantle. This time, it’s the WiFi iPad 2 (the model that I’ll be getting), and as the day progresses, iFixit will continue to update their page with the latest of every stage when taking the iPad 2 apart. iPad 2 Now Available Online For Order
So this is it. The iPad 2 is available online, for purchase at the prices seen above, in either white or black. Yours truly will be buying an iPad 2, but not at the moment. Orders ship within 3 to 5 days, which is March 18 to the 25th. Otherwise, that’s the report right there. Enjoy. Via: Apple
Apple iPad 2 Launches At 5PM Local Time, 1PM PT Online
Tomorrow is the day that the iPad 2 goes on sale, at 5PM local time (meaning whatever your timezone may be in the U.S.A). AT&T and Verizon stores will also carry their respective models, including Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Apple retail stores. Now you’ll just have to beat those massive lines. PR after the chop.
iPad 2: Two Cameras, iOS 4.3, More Speed, Same Price
This is the Apple iPad 2. And it comes in black or white.
It has a dual-core Apple A5 processor (2x as fast as the A4), 9x faster graphics, the same gyroscope in other iDevices, uses the same amount of power as the A4, is 8.8mm thin (thinner than the iPhone 4), a front-facing camera for FaceTime and a back-facing camera with 720p HD video capture, iOS 4.3, which brings many improvements to Safari and Airplay, and has the same 10 hours of battery life. It ships March 11th, and uses the same pricing schemes as seen with the previous-gen, which starts off with the $500 WiFi model, and comes in either black or white. There are 3G versions from both Verizon and AT&T, priced exactly the same as the previous generation (mentioned that earlier, didn’t I?). Press release after the jump.
