The Galaxy S US-bound varint for T-Mobile has the name of Vibrant, and produces a decent hum when speeding through Android 2.1 with Touchwiz 3.0 UI with a 1Ghz Hummingbird processor, 4.0-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, and 5 megapixel camera as seen on the original, international Galaxy S. There’s not mentioning of a front-facing camera, release date,pricing, or anything of that sort. Such things we have to wait for, I suppose (or leak!).

Ever since those first Espresso Sense UI screenshots came out, we’ve all been looking for more, and we’ve found it. The new Sense UI for the HTC Espresso is demoed on video after the jump, and you can tell that it was hacked onto an HTC Hero. From the looks of it, the Sense IU looks a little more Android 2.0+, and can definitely fit into the new era of Android UIs, although the only thing that isn’t too nice here are those translucent backgrounds behind each of the apps.*shudders*. The Google Phone is officially the HTC Passion that we all dreamed about. Currently what’s known about the Google Phone is that it contains an OLED screen, a large camera, and is unlocked as a GSM phone. It runs Android 2.1, and will be launched in January of 2010 with the name “Google Phone”.
It also has 2 mics, one to get rid of outside noise, and one for speaking; it contains a speedy Snapdragon chip, and is thinner than the iPhone, but contains no keyboard. To make up for that loss however, you can dictate it to write emails using your voice.

Whichever Android firmware version the Eris is getting, it’s good. According to BGR, Verizon has announced that in Q1 2010, the Droid Eris will get a firmware update that will let it run Google Maps Navigation. Since Google Maps Nav can run on all firmware 1.6 and up, no one knows which version it will run. Good news nevertheless.

A couple of shots of the HTC Hero running Android 2.1. No idea why the blurred lines are there, all we know is that it’s supposed to be a Hero running Android 2.1, an update that should come out later this year. Maybe HTC was saying the truth when thy promised to get the Sense UI ready for the new Android? Time will tell.
