Breaking News: Is this a New Apple in the Works??

Is this a new leak about a Apple computer in the works? To make sure I called Best Buy about this new product page, and after speaking to a Bestbuy sales representative, they said it is a new product,  but Apple Customer service said they could not confirm this info.

What kind of new Apple product is this?? It’s priced at $999.99, is this a budget laptop?

Do you think Microsoft is coming back?

What do you think about Microsoft?

After so much trouble with Vista do you think they can make a great comeback?

Here is just a small slice of what is  good right now in Microsoft:

Windows 7 is supposed to be coming this holiday season and people are more excited about it than Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The  Zune HD, which is thought to be a threat to the iPod Touch,  should come out this September 5.  Also, the Microsoft E3 briefing is today and who knows what they will do? It’s believed the Xbox will take center stage in the beginning!

Other things that have happened are:  Microsoft has been fined for infringing an XML patent for Word 2007 and 2003,  and Kumo will be replacing Live Search.

You can all talk about your projections for Microsoft and everything you know that’s going on in the  company which has proven how important computers are in the lives of everyday people.

Browser Reviews Part 4: Google Chrome

Here we are at the final review of my browser reviews. I made these reviews to give people a better sense of the 4 big browsers, even if you already know a lot about them.  In the bottom of this review,  I will post what I think is the best browser in terms of  speed, security, and ease of use.

Google Chrome:

A new browser on the market always gets the look that it’s going to fail.  This one is different as Google has created it’s first web browser. Since, they rule the Internet, they should be able to rule what you use to look at the Internet. Why not? We’ll see.

Browser Reviews Part 3: Internet Explorer 8

Internet Explorer 8 Review:

The typical browser that everyone uses,  the Internet Explorer family of  browsers is one that everyone has used. Everyone,  possibly.

There isn’t a lot to explain here about IE 8.  Only in Google Chrome, which will be the next review…..

IE 6 was a very stable release, but it’s successor IE 7 is in my point of view a terrible browser. IE 8 has a promising look though,  just as Windows 7 does.  Let’s take a quick spin and find out.

New PSP GO Leaked

The New PSP Go is a sliding PSP with 16GB internal storage and bluetooth. It also has no UMD slot and no second analog stick , something many people have been waiting for in the next PSP.  It will be shown at this year’s E3.

Zune HD? A threat to the iPhone & iPod Touch?

Microsoft has unveiled a new Zune mp3 player:

The new Zune HD is a touch screen mp3 player with an OLED screen, HD radio, and HD video. With such power could this be a threat to the iPhone and Touch?

To clarify my questions I took a deeper look into what the Zune HD has and doesn’t:

1. The new Zune will have Internet Explorer as the primary web browser. It will have an onscreen keyboard along with the typical Zune features(song sharing, Channel streaming, things like that).

2. No one knows if it can browse Flash media on it’s built-in browser, things that the iPhone and Touch can’t do.

3.  Microsoft plans to update the Zune Marketplace to such a point where it will be able to hold Xbox downloads , such as movie rentals.

4.  It isn’t new to see an OLED screen on an mp3 player,  it has been done before,  and there are rumors about the new iPhone which state that the new screen will be included. This type of screen is extremely energy efficient and expensive while providing high screen quality.

5. Things we don’t know is:  How Much is it? What Colors? Other features?

6. It is believed the new Zune HD will be released in Fall 2009.

You may use your cellphone on your next trip to Europe

You go for a trip to Europe and can’t use your cellphone because of the high rates.  And you wanted to send a text to say you’re in Paris.

Apparently now you can.

The European  Union has forced phone companies in Europe to cut the roaming costs  for texting and voice calls. The average price is 29 euro cents per text (conversion 10 UK pence or 14 US cents) which will fall to 11 euro cents. For roaming, voice calls will fall from 22 euro cents to 19 cents in July and 11 in July 2010.
