The Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper are Sprint’s first two 4G LTE devices. The LG Viper has a 4-inch WVGA display with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The Viper comes with an NFC chip and will come with Google Wallet, while running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Galaxy Nexus remains the same as Verizon’s, however it does have access to Google Wallet, unlike Verizon’s. Sprint’s 4G LTE network is scheduled to launch in mid-2012 in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta. Via: Sprint

How highly unusual! The Galaxy Nexus is set to be the first 4G LTE device on Sprint, seen on this recent online advertisement on a tech site. We’re looking at better specs than the VZW/LTE version, namely a faster processor by 300MHz: the Sprint 4G LTE Galaxy Nexus contains a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, Android 4.0, a 1080p movie mode, front and rear cameras, and the new 1.5GHz dual-core processor. iPhone 4S Now Available For Pre-Orders, Unlocked Models Coming In November
The new iPhone 4S, available on Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and AT&T goes on pre-order today for $199 (16GB), $299 (32GB), and $399 (64GB). WHile these models make the iPhone 4S a “world phone”, keep in mind the new unlocked models that debut in November which are priced at $649, $749, or $849, for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions will only work on GSM carriers, not CDMA ones (the handset must be first activated on a CDMA carrier like Sprint or Verizon). Some of the main specs include an Apple 5 dual-core processor, a new 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, iOS 5, that wonderful 3.5-inch Retina display, and finally Siri, the new voice-controlled artificial intelligence system. Samsung Galaxy S II, Epic 4G Touch Now On Sale At Sprint
With a name so long, Sprint added a comma, I wonder what else you’ll do to talk to your friends about your just-purchased Galaxy S II, Epic Touch 4G from Sprint? Sporting the usual 2-year contract, what you get for the long agreement is a 1.2GHz Exynos dual-core processor, 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and full HD 1080p video recording, a front-facing 2MP cam, 4G WiMax connectivity, 16GB internal storage, and lastly a very large 1800 mAH battery. And right now, you know where to get it — at Sprint, obviously.
Samsung Epic 4G Touch Hands-On
Having just been to the Samsung Experience in New York City, I’ve come back with plenty of impressions on the upcoming Galaxy S II line for the United States. My favorite of the bunch, Sprint’s Epic 4G Touch variant, contains the specs seen in my previous post seen only a few hours ago: that is a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera with1080p HD video recording and LED flash, a front-facing 2MP camera for video chats on Qik, Skype, etc., Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with the delightful (and new) Touchwiz 4.0, 4G WiMAX connectivity, a promising 1,800mAh battery pack, and finally the 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display.
First off, since there were swarms of people it was hard to get decent hands-on time with each unit, but by visiting different booths every few minutes, I was able to get an initial opinion together eventually. The Epic 4G Touch is my favorite Galaxy S II phone besides the original European version. It feels balanced, is extremely quick (Touchwiz is finally a competent skin), light, thin (at 8.89mm) and despite the enormous screen size, could fit in just about anyone’s hand easily. WiMAX has been second to LTE in all of my tests, and that still stood when I tested the Epic 4G Touch whilst I had it in my hands (however it shot down to 3G in the above shot).
Since the hardware is very similar across all carriers, I’m sure you’re wondering what’s so special about the Sprint version? Well, two things: One, it has the fasted 4G speeds of the bunch. T-Mobile’s variant which wasn’t even available for hands-on and AT&T’s both use HSPA+, while Sprint uses WiMAX currently provided by Clearwire is many times faster. Secondly, the edges and back cover give a feel of more grip than the other models; it feels more secure. It will take more than just 5-10 minutes with a single device to give a full review on it, but as it stands Sprint and Samsung have an epic winner here in the Epic 4G Touch. Samsung Epic 4G Touch Announced On Sprint For $199.99 On Contract
Sprint seems to want to rename their Galaxy S II variant — as the Epic 4G Touch. Using Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the Touchwiz UI, a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 4G WiMAX connectivity, Samsung’s Exynos 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, an 1800 mAh battery, and 16GB of onboard memory. Mobile hotspot is supported up to eight devices, and Sprint’s usual apps, Sprint ID, NASCAR, Swype keyboard, Media Hub for TV and movies, and Kies Air for desktop syncing.

Samsung Epic 4G Touch press images leaked
Once again, before the Samsung Experience press event in New York City tomorrow, more press shots of the Samsung Galaxy S II get leaked. From the shots you can easily see the 4G WiMAX icon and that the newest edition of Touchwiz and Android 2.3 Gingerbread in action. BlackBerry Bold 9930 And Torch 9850 Coming To Sprint August 21st For $250 And $150
So, who was waiting on some more BlackBerry news?
Uh, well, err, if you were, then I’ll kindly let you know that the Bold 9930 will be headed to Sprint for $250 on a 2-year agreement on August 21st, the same day that the full-touchscreen Torch 9850, which is the successor to the less than stellar Storm line will be sold for $150 on contract — after a $50 mail-in rebate. Both devices use BlackBerry 7 OS and 1.2GHz processors, Liquid Graphics technology, world phone capability, and 5 megapixel cameras with 720pHD video recording. Press release after the jump.
