HTC Pyramid May Be Called HTC Sensation Upon April 12th Launch, Or Something

We eager geeks are waiting for HTC to kick off its press event on April 12th. Mainly the reason being so excited may just be for the HTC Pyramid (which may also be called the Sensation, we don’t know) seen above in a leaked shot. The HTC Pyramid/Sensatio is purportedly using a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4.3-inch qHD screen, 8-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera, WiFi b/g/n, 768MB of RAM and HTC Sense 3.0 on top of an unknown build of Android, possible Gingerbread. All will tell on April 12th.

LG May Produce A ‘Nexus Tablet’ For Google

Good morning, readers. Today, the rumor mill has been updated with a possible Nexus-brandde tablet, built by LG, for Google. The tablet would have incredibly high-specs, a clean slate version of Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and would launch sometimes this Summer. However, that’s all speculation, but nevertheless, a pretty zesty rumor, if I do say so myself. Via: Mobile-Review

More Waiting: Windows Phone 7 Copy/Paste Update Due March 8th?

More waiting, more speculating, more possibly accurate/inaccurate leaks going around. Windows Phone 7 has a copy-and-paste update due for quite a bit now, and rumor has it that Microsoft has been heavily controlling the updates for Windows Phone 7 as they promised. Meaning that in this case, all updates should come out at the same time, and carriers have much, much less control over OTAs as they usually do (see the Android update sagas). So, with that, let’s wait for the 8th of March!? Via: ZDNet

New Rumor: iPad 2 will have a 2048×1536 resolution screen, same footprint

image

A few acknowledgements of different screen resolutions were seen in the latest version of iBooks. The evidence is through the different images meant for different screens used by the iPhones and iPad. Apparently, a background in iBooks supports the 2048×1536 resolution, and such a high-resolution would not only mean possible Retina display branding (higher price anyone?) on the iPad 2, but moving away from the 1024×768 resolution (and thus support of 1080p HD content with the new screen) that few new devices use. Here’s to hoping, along with a grain of salt for this rumor. Via: CG

Verizon iPhone owners may have other advantage besides network — unlimited data

Like the entire Verizon iPhone rumor/saga of events, this may not be true, but nevertheless, it’s been discussed to a few people, and might have originated from the source. What the latest tale from the rumor mill states is that for a certain amount of time, iPhone users on VZW would be offered an unlimited data plan, thus further alienating AT&T’s data-caps and lower usability of its network (let’s face it, AT&T). The general LM reader will know when January 11th strikes, and if it’s for a Verizon iPhone at all.
