Samsung Galaxy S II for AT&T Review

This is the Galaxy S II, a favorite Android device among many. And still, despite the Galaxy Nexus soon to appear on shelves it will remain a top-notch handset. It has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 1080pHD video camera with 8 megapixel shots, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus 800×480 screen, 14.4MBps HSPA+, NFC (not enabled yet), and a 3.7 volt battery. This is my favorite Android device on the market using Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, and it’s still going to be a contender when updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. So now, onward with the review.

Battlefield 3 Review (PC Edition)

Ah, ’tis Battlefield 3! What an incredibly anticipated and exciting game! I’m not going to go on and on, ranting about the whiny (yet important) things that publications like Kotaku and PCGamer write about, but I’m going to go over Battlefield 3 in a few paragraphs, giving my opinion on things like Battlelog, the campaign, and the game itself. So check the review out, after the break.

HTC Sensation 4G Review

The HTC Sensation 4G seems to be a favorite for HTC. It has been revised twice (or perhaps three times, with the Amaze 4G), first in a Beats Audio version, then a large version with Beats Audio software and headphones. However this is just a base model, and instead is clocked at 1.2GHz at dual-core instead of the 1.5GHz dual-core seen on the aforementioned devices. Moreover, a 960×540 Super LCD screen, “4G” HSPA+, and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording is all part of the snappy package. And despite newer handsets like the Amaze 4G, the Sensation 4G is a classic that still isn’t even a year-old with other OEMs just catching up to its specs. Check out the review after the break to check out what it still has going for it.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Review

What Samsung has been able to accomplish for the past few months is nothing less than great. They’ve made an Android tablet so good, it doesn’t matter what version of it you have (and how many times it gets banned for sale in foreign countries because it’s too much like its rivals). And now they’re only extending their catalog of Honeycomb tablets, this time with the Galaxy Tab 8.9, a spec-by-spec equivalent of the Tab 10.1, with the sole exceptions with a smaller screen and battery. And so the review begins, after the break.

ASUS G74SX-A1 3DE Review

Dear reader, let me present this review to you. The ASUS G74SX-A1 3DE is a high-end gaming laptop, yet at the very same time as I just stated that, it isn’t the most powerful. It packs a backlit keyboard, a matte 17.3-inch 1920×1080 3D screen that uses NVIDIA 3D glasses tech, USB 3.0 port, a 2X Blu-Ray drive, a 2GHz Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor, 12GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM, two 750GB hard drives, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics card. Interesting, isn’t it? Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE Review — Nice Going, Verizon

Price as Reviewed: $529.99 on 2-year agreement at Verizon Wireless

Despite all of the trouble between Apple and Samsung, and the “similarities” between the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the iPad 2, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is still the greatest Android tablet to date (see my original review in June). But Verizon added 4G LTE to it. Now that’s just a crime I say. Battery life remains just about the same, which is 9 to 10 hours of light usage (email, web, YouTube) and 8 hours o watching movies, playing music, and playing games on the awesome Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz platform. However the difference here is getting 16MBps downloads in areas with a coverage of 1 bar, and 30 and up in other with very strong coverage. That still bests most average home internet connections. And as a mobile hotspot, that sweet, sweet 4G LTE service just gets even better to use on your laptop (or in my case, a WiFi Galaxy Tab 10.1). Also to be noted is that Movies in te Android market as well ass Media Hub access is available on the 4G LT Tab 101, and Verizon hasn’t included a single crapware app.

Just about everything I said in the original review stands strong with the 4G LTE addition, except one thing: the placement of the power and volume buttons have been moved to accommodate the SIM card, and instead are to the right of the tablet, so confusing the two is quite a possibility. And also the new pricetag: $529.99 for a new 16GB white or grey model, which is only $30 more than before for a 2-year contract, or $699.99 for a month-to-month contract, much like the iPad 2 on Verizon.

Either way, it’s still my favorite Android tablet. Thanks for not mucking something  up with any crapware apps Verizon, and making something great even better than before.

Score: 9.5/10

One more shot of the 4G LTE-equipped Galaxy Tab 10.1 after the break.

Razer Onza Tournament Edition Review

Despite only having my just-purchased Razer Onza Tournament Edition for only a few days, I’ve fallen in love with its many perfections and few flaws. The Razer Onza TE is from the well-respected PC gaming keyboard and mouse manufacturer, Razer. For the first time they have ventured to home consoles, and with a bang. The Onza TE has several features that the original Xbox 360 controller doesn’t have, like adjustable analog sticks (increased or decreased tensions), an improved D-pad, two programmable shoulder buttons (which can replace almost any button on the controller), “Hyper Response” ABYX buttons that also have built-in LEDs, a 15-foot braided USB cable, and finally a rubber texture.

Check out the full Onza TE review after the break to see if it really bests the competition!

Razer Naga MMO Gaming Mouse Review

Ah, something cool from Razer, per usual. This time it’s one of their classics, the Naga MMO gaming mouse.  There is little doubt that PC gaming is very much alive and well (and so is the gaming mouse), so it’s time to go ahead and check out what this classic offers compared to some of Razer’s newer and more expensive models.
