Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition Review

With contenders like Google Maps Navigation, most navigation apps used on smartphones like the iPhone are utterly blown away. Nokia on the other hand, so far is the only manufacturer with a navigation system on par or a little better than Google Maps. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is actually a 5800 XpressMusic, which in turn was pretty much was a music player. The main difference between the two is that this, as according to its name, is a navigation phone that can be used on either T-Mobile or AT&T networks. Check out our thoughts after the cut.

Samsung Omnia II Review

Let’s start this off in a straightforward style. The Samsung Omnia II is a 3.7-inch 480×800 AMOLED resistive touchscreen smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.5, a 5 megapixel camera with 720x480px video capture, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD expansion slot, GPS/Wi-Fi/Verizon 3G, and FM radio. Right off the bat though — exactly when you turn it on — things start to go wrong.

Dell Inspiron 15 with Core i5 Review

Dell has numerous product lines in terms of portable computers. You have the Studio line, Studio XPS, Mini, Alienware, and the consumer pocket-friendly Inspiron. The Dell Inspiron 15 is not a new runner on the block, but the newly improved and better spec’d Inspiron 15 with a Core i5 Intel processor is something new. And it’s fast. For the price of $969, this is a pretty good deal for a Windows 7 Core i5-powered laptop. Check out the review by clicking through and see if Dell is still thinking about its consumer line (as well as its competitors). You will join us, won’t you?

Rubik’s Slide Exclusive Review: The New Cube Is Here

Let’s face it. The original 3×3 Rubik’s cube was getting old. As cool as it was and as cool as it still is, it needed a shiny, techy replacement. And what would be better for the 30th anniversary of the original? Come in, Rubik’s Slide! Instead of the original puzzle, this toy/gadget has 10,000, further ensuring you will never solve a Rubik’s puzzle (actually you can). Review of the practically-finished prototype after the break.

ASUS Eee PC 1201N Review

While most blogs go berserk (hello CTIA and HTC EVO 4G!) and write about upcoming Androids (which isn’t bad at all), we’ll take just a little bit of time today to bust a new review out the door. A prime showcase is the ASUS Eee PC 1201N. Complete with a dual-core Atom CPU, 12.1-inch panel, Windows 7 Home Premium, 2GB of RAM, and an island-style keyboard, there’s a lot to love here, especially the light weight. Full review after the “read more” link.

Palm Pre Review

The Palm Pre. Palm’s quick-thinking solution in order to get into the new age of smartphones. Has it? It surely has, that you can say. While webOS 1.4 though has gotten faster and more responsive, it still leaves much to be desired. Review is after the break.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH1 Review: The Feisty Point-And-Shoot

By far one of the cheapest cameras around, the FH1 is a 12-megapixel point-and-shoot camera with an HD video mode. It retails with a MSRP of $159.95, so that’s probably one of the closest rock-bottom prices you’ll find for a camera. Despite the cheap price, extremely modest looks, and of course the branding, the FH1 isn’t the type of digital camera you can mess around with in modern times: 5x optical zoom, a 28mm wide-angle lens, High Speed Auto Focus, HD video recording, Optical Image Stabilization, and an ISO range of up to 1600. Does it take great pictures? Read on to find out.

Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 Review

The first camera ever to show up here is a little over a year old. That doesn’t mean the Stylus Tough 6000 has lost its ability to take pictures. It’s waterproof to 10 feet, shockproof to 5 feet, and can withstand temperatures of down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Since this is a pretty simple point-and-shoot I’ll just go over price, durability, and the pictures and videos it takes. Check out the review after the break where we see if this $300 camera is worth it.

BlackBerry Storm2 9550 Review

Say the word “Blackberry”. The first thing that comes to mind is an elegant young man walking around New York City with his briefcase, sleek and expensive suit, and his – Blackberry Storm2. The Storm2 improves upon the mistakes of the original Storm, while still retaining its good looks, great network, and reasonable price. The look and feel of the Storm2 is a nearly well-crafted experience;  a strong presence, but not intimidating. In simpler words, it has enough solid features to make it the “flagship” BlackBerry. In-depth review after the break. Oh, and better late then never, right? We’ve finally reviewed a Blackberry.
