That means that if you need a BlackBerry with Android 2.2 on it, then your Droid has arrived. Or if you’re just willing to shed less cash on this 1GHz OMAP 3620 processor, 3.1-inch multitouch screen, 8GB internal storage, 802.11n Wi-Fi/GPS/Bluetooth 2.1, and a 5MP camera smartphone, then now you’re doing business, with the usual two-year Verizon contract, of course. BestBuy Is Selling The DROID Pro For $50. You Know What That Means.

iPhone 4 on sale from Radio Shack — for $50 less
by Stefan Etienne on 04. Dec, 2010 3:30PM in Apple, AT&T, MemoDeals, Mobile

Is this a MemoDeal? Meh. Although it is a “deal”, it’s just $50 off the iPhone 4. Which isn’t that bad actually. The only excuses possible are a Verizon iPhone, the sale only being in retail stores, or a certain Nexus S. Otherwise, “It’s OK, Go” on this one if you want an iPhone by December 11th, when the sale ends. Via: Radio Shack
T-Mobile G2 Will Be Free On Cyber Monday, With A Contract Of Course
by Stefan Etienne on 28. Nov, 2010 11:40PM in Android, HTC, MemoDeals, Mobile, T-Mobile

Now is the time to look at Cyber Monday, when technology is the center of savings for the holiday season. So far, the first deal that crossed my inbox is the T-Mobile G2 for free on a 2-year contract with T-Mobile, online only. The Android 2.2 stock, 5 megapixel with 720p HD recording, 800MHz Snapdragon MSM 7230 generation chip in this superphone packs a better punch than most Snapdragons (which are clocked faster) and it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Enough with the refreshers and the deals, this post ends — now.

My Favorite Laptop, The Alienware M11x, Is Now On Sale For $600
by Stefan Etienne on 26. Nov, 2010 4:52PM in Dell, FTW, Gaming, Laptops, MemoDeals, Windows

OMG!OMG!OMG!
The Alienware M11x, which as you might know, is Stefan’s favorite laptop (this post is being typed on it now). Ask any agent at Alienware headquarters and Dell, and they’ll tell you I love it god-knows-how-many-times, gave it “Stef’s Top Pick Award”, and pwns n00bs nightly in either Counter Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2, or Bad Company 2. Now, the Core 2 Duo version (that means no Optimus for you, like me, sadly) costs $599.
That’s right, for $600 bucks you can get one of the most highly-awarded laptops of the year, with 160GB of hard drive space and 2GB DDR3 RAM.
Of course, that config is nothing compared to the 4GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive, Core i7, Optimus battery-conserving rig I’m typing this on. But it’s good nonetheless. Via: Dell Online Store
Windows Phone 7 Reaches 3,000 Apps And 15k Devs With More Inbound
by Stefan Etienne on 25. Nov, 2010 11:39AM in MemoDeals, Mobile, News, Windows Phone
It’s time to see how far Windows Phone 7 has come since its November 8th launch, and that’s 3,000 apps and games, with 15,000 developers and counting. These numbers of course please the Windows Team Blog who announced the new milestone, but until we can get to review one of those bad guys, I’ll be staying very expecting of Windows Phone 7. And yes, I’m still waiting on my review unit from AT&T.
In the meantime for you Black Friday buyers/maniacs/bargain-hunters, you can buy any WP7 device and get another one free, providing that you sign 2 contracts, each worth the usual two years of agony.
There’s A Steam Sale! I Repeat, There Is A Steam Sale!!
by Stefan Etienne on 24. Nov, 2010 3:43PM in Did You Know?, FTW, Gaming, Internet, MemoDeals
I love Steam. I’ve probably given them more than I should, but only because I buy great games (DiRT 2, Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, Osmos, IL2 9146, GRID, and Portal is what makes my library). Turns out Counter Strike: Source is $5. Now it’s time to go pwn me some n00bs, all while saying “thank you” in French, Italian, English, and Spanish.
Apple Gets Into Black Friday By Posting Sales Teaser
by Stefan Etienne on 23. Nov, 2010 8:49AM in Apple, Did You Know?, MemoDeals

According to Apple it’s a “shopping event”. Turns out, like all other Black Fridays, Apple discounts their Apple products by a nice although not large amount, but enough for you to spot a difference. As long as you promise us that you won’t shove people around for the nearest iPad (and maybe buy us one; I kid, I kid) then get your angry mob kit ready, and head out to the nearest Apple store Friday, November 26th. Oh, and with the credit cards in “almost dead” mode.

T-Mobile’s BOGO Offer For Black Friday Includes HD7, Galaxy Tab, G2, And Others
by Stefan Etienne on 22. Nov, 2010 9:43AM in MemoDeals, T-Mobile
Let’s say this is Black Friday buying advice. T-Mobile just sent me another friendly presser, talking about their upcoming buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO, for short) program when buying a family plan with a two-year agreement. Smartphones included in the offer are the Windows Phone 7 HTC HD7, BlackBerry Bold 9780 (don’t give this for Christmas), T-Mobile G2, and myTouch 4G. The deal runs through Nov. 26 through Jan.18, but try and get one a little early, because you might encounter long lines, and sold-out handsets.
[Thanks, Richter!]
