Not that type of “chopped in half”! More specifically speaking, T-Mobile has cut the price of their Galaxy S phone, the Samsung Vibrant, to $99 on a 2-year agreement for one line, online only. Inside of the Vibrant you get the 1Ghz Hummingbird processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display that is nearly unmatched, 5 megapixel camera with 720p recording, and Android 2.1 with Touchwiz 3.0. Don’t forget that every Vibrant also comes will a full copy of Avatar.
I think it’s worth every cent.

Yawwwn. If for some reason you’ve taken into your right mind you need a desktop instead of a laptop, but it needs multitouch for some reason, Lenovo has the C315 for $649 coming out in April, which should fit the bill. Not much to see here: 20-inch multitouch display, unspecified AMD Athlon dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon graphics (of some kind), and lots of pre-loaded apps for the multitouch. That’s all.
