HTC Sensation XL Announced

This is quite a big one. The HTC Sensation XL (obviously extra large) is an HTC Sensation 4G that has Beats Audio built-in and comes with a pair of headphones, along with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 16GB of internal storage, a 4.7-inch Super LCD display, HSPA+, an 8-megapixel camera with 1080pHD video recording, and then some. It only comes in white, as seen above, and will launch in Asia and in Europe, but no American launch is planned at the moment — at least we don’t know one is. PR after the break.

HTC Radar 4G On T-Mobile Is Bringing Mango For The Holidays

The HTC Radar 4G is a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handset, complete with 4G HSPA+ data connectivity. What makes the Radar 4G quite interesting however is the white exterior, and besides the aforementioned a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera with a single LED flash, and finally 512MB of RAM for multitasking during use of Mango. As for a release date and price, the time frame is during the holidays, but a price is not mentioned anywhere in the press release, seen after the break.

HTC Amaze 4G And Galaxy S II For T-Mobile Get Release Dates

The HTC Amaze 4G is a hyperphone (to be honest, I made that up)! Going up to 42MBps download speeds, both smartphones average 8 MBps to 20MBps data speeds in tests made by T-Mobile. The Amaze 4G contains an 8 megapixel camera much like the myTouch 4G Slide, has a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch qHD screen, and the high price tag of $259.99. In Samsung’s en of 42MBps territory, the Galaxy S II for T-Mobile has the same 1.5GHz processor, 1080pHD video recording on its 8 megapixel camera, and a 4.5-inch screen with a lower resolution than the Amaze 4G’s (800×480 versus 960×540). The Amaze 4G is available October 10th and the Galaxy S II on October 12th for $229.99. Press release after the break.

The New HTC Rhyme Is A “Lady Phone” From Verizon

Men get DROIDS and women get — Rhymes? No, no, no. The HTC Rhyme has a single-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.7-inch WVGA Super LCD screen, 768MB RAM, and a 5 megapixel camera (no front-facing or LTE). On top of all of the silly stuff, the HTC Rhyme will come with a LED charm indicator that plugs into the 3.5mm headset jack, so that a woman could place it on her purse and would be notified of incoming calls or texts. It would also come with a pair of headphones and an alarm clock. It’s an insult really. Not even a dual-core processor.

At the very least it will come with the latest version of Sense on Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” — Sense 3.5, which isn’t seen on the newer, more powerful dual-core smartphones HTC has been releasing recently. The UI is much cleaner and otherwise there aren’t many other changes to speak of. The HTC Rhyme is debuting on Verizon in only one color on September 29th for $199.99 on contract, and a silver version is headed overseas in October.

This is so silly of you, HTC.

HTC Sensation XE Unveiled: A 1.5GHz Dual-Core Beats Audio Smartphone

This would be wrong. Scratch that — a crime, if the Sensation XE didn’t make its way to Verizon Wireless here in the States. It’s a red smartphone, with Beats Audio to back it up.  Oh, and as for what really is backing it up: a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest version of Sense UI, a 4.3-inch qHD display, a larger 1,730mAh battery to compensate for the overclocked processor and Beats Audio, and also ships with a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones that include controls and a mic, all in one juicy red package. It makes the original Sensation 4G look like a clown (ironically, as one just arrived in the mail). HTC’s press release is seen after the break.

T-Mobile’s HTC Amaze/HTC Ruby Is Quite A Show-Stopper In Leaked Pics

So what do we have here today? The HTC Amaze 4G/HTC Ruby, duh. What may be T-Mobile’s next flagship smartphone (which would be strange, considering how awesomesauce the Galaxy S II is) will contain a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4.3″ qHD display (960×540), 16GB of storage, an 8MP camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. With specs like those, anyone could drop the Galaxy S II in a heartbeat, which is also probably why it isn’t released yet (the other answer being it is not ready for production). Furthermore, we may have a new version of Sense UI on the Amaze 4G — Android 2.3 with Sense 3.5. You can find more leaked pics at the source links.

HTC Jetstream 4G LTE Tablet Costs $700 On Contract

This is just — well, unexpected. The HTC Jetstream is a 10.1-inch, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats and an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. It runs Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) with HTC’s Sense user interface and AT&T will include the HTC Scribe pen at no cost for a “limited time”.

What I find negative about the Jetstream is its price: $700 on contract, starting September 4th? Really, guys? It had to be that high? Full press release after the break.

HTC Investing $300M In Beats Audio For Smartphones

So, yes. That “big announcement” by HTC CEO Peter Chou was blown to AllThingsD recently. All it seems to be is a partnership with Beats by Dr. Dre by investing a healthy $300 million which gives HTC exclusive rights to use Beats Audio in their mobile devices, of which Peter Chou stated the first of their Beats line would launch later in 2011. This also meaning that the webOS devices from HP and their laptops will cease use of the Beats branding, which is more of a blow in the face than anything else.
