The above commercial for the just-announced Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 EVIL cameras really shows how the smaller form factor with the power of a DSLR and HD camcorder can pull trough almost any situation. Plus, we get a look at the UI in the 0:15 mark, and it seems completely — how can I put this? Dummy proof. And of course accompanied by low-light shots that feature almost zero noise, the NEX-5 and NEX-3 could be major winners.

In a new video posted on YouTube, HTC is keen on making us drool over the HTC EVO 4G, the world’s first 4G phone with Android 2.1 topped with some Sense UI, a 1Ghz Snapdragon and 4.3-inch capacitive multitouch screen to run the whole show. Above is the very first ad for the iPad which made its snazzy debut at the Oscars tonight. And that’s on top of Steve Jobs actually appearing on the red carpet. One thing that’s for sure is the media blitz that will appear after this ad.

Now this is some outcome, isn’t it? No more court dates, no more attacks,  nothing more. Just a calm landscape between AT&T and Verizon; so don’t expect to see Luke Wilson staring into your face, pleading that AT&T has the better network. Or maybe we will see more of him? (Cringe on that thought). Now somebody get moving with your network to claim the “Most Reliable 3G Network” award (and tagline) so something like this doesn’t happen again.  In the meantime, this is done.

This is getting phenomenal. AT&T files a lawsuit, Verizon launches more ads, AT&T loses round 1, and comes out swinging with its own attack. But now, now Apple has gotten into the fray. When we last reported the Apple Black Friday deals, maybe we were all wrong, because over at BGR, there’s another brochure, this time taking things into detail. iMacs start at $1098, iPod Nanos start at $138, iPod Touch starts at $178, MacBook Pros start at $1098, Apple TVs start at $208, Airport Express starts at $88, and Magic Mouse and Wireless Keyboard go for $64 each. According to BGR, the last Black Friday deal was from a “new” source, but this image comes from a source that’s “credible”. There’s one catch though: These deals are only at the Apple Retail Store.

This is the true declaration of war between AT&T and Verizon Wireless. As many of you have heard, AT&T filed a lawsuit against Verizon claiming that Verizon’s “There’s a Map for That” ad misleads customers into thinking AT&T’s 3G coverage sucks, which is actually true.  In return, Verizon released 3 more ads mocking AT&T once again. Now things have reached boiling point, and here’s Verizon’s introduction:

AT&T did not file this lawsuit because Verizon’s “There’s A Map For That” advertisements are untrue; AT&T sued because Verizon’s ads are true and the truth hurts.

The truth does hurt, and that’s probably hurting AT&T right now. Here’s another part of the legal docs that Big Red filed:

In the final analysis, AT&T seeks emergency relief because Verizon’s side-by-side, apples-to-apples comparison of its own 3G coverage with AT&T’s confirms what the marketplace has been saying for months: AT&T failed to invest adequately in the necessary infrastructure to expand its 3G coverage to support its growth in smartphone business, and the usefulness of its service to smartphone users has suffered accordingly.
