The ATI Radeon HD 5970 requires eight and six pin power connectors to operate, a giant PC to live in, and can run six 30-inch screens at the same time. According to Alienbabel Tech, they had problems fitting in the card to their giant Antec 1200 chassis. They noted that this is engineering prototype, and that it is possible that it will be shrunk for retail. No release date or price, yet.

As many of you don’t like what I’m about to say here, but the rebadged HTC Hero will be called the DROID Eris, and will ship on November 6th; same day as the Motorola DROID. But here’s the deal breaker: Android 1.5, not 2.0, will be the OS running on the Eris. After that comes the Sense UI, 3.2-inch screen, built-in 8GB microSD card, 528MHz processor, and the $199 price with $100 mail-in rebate. A big letdown if you ask me.

Motorola is finally coming back!
The Motorola DROID, set for a November 6th launch with Verizon, aka “Big Red”. Pricing starts at $199.99 with a 2-year-contract. The price though can make the iPhone cringe, because of the specs: 3.7″ WVGA capacitive display, sliding QWERTY keypad, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, 720×480 video capture at 24 fps, GPS (the DROID is the first device to feature Google Maps Navigation which provides free turn-by-turn voice navigation), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Exchange support, 6.4 hours of talk time, including a 16GB card built-in.
Now in order to get your hands on the $199 DROID, October 29 through November 6 are the dates that you can get a pre-order at BestBuy. 6AM sharp. Remember that the deal is only at Verizon stores, so if you can head over to BestBuy, you’d be in the advantage.

RED’s line of digital still and motion cameras have yet to come out with the official release dates, but the pricing for the super-powered EPIC-X is a something epic. For $28,000 the EPIC-X will be released in 4 different stages. It starts with the pre-production unit, named TATTOO, then the final model comes out later. But if you’re wondering why this DSMC costs $28,000, then here comes the explanation:
Note: This phone was sent in by LG for review, but there wasn’t any SIM card in the review unit, so no software tests. So here’s only a review of the hardware.

Sorry everyone for not having the latest news. Had major PC problem, still do, but right now I’m able to post some news. Including something very surprising, so get ready.

The Android 2.0 SDK is officially supported as of today. The video below shows all of the cool features Android 2.0 will include. Did I mention things like Searchable SMS, Exchange support, better camera controls, and a revamped browser with better UI and the slick HTML5? Below is the link to all of the details on Android 2.0, aka “Eclair”.

In the above shot found by BGR, Verizon Wireless is boasting their new holiday lineup. Which of course includes the Storm2, but here’s the shocker: The Curve2. That’s right dear readers, the BlackBerry Curve2. From the shots here I can’t tell what’s in it, and neither can anyone else. But now we do know it exists. Lenovo is now looking serious with their new Windows 7 machines, and now a new laptop with a Core i7 processor. The Y550P include a 15-inch screen, up to 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, Nvidia GeForce GT 240M (1GB) graphics, and integrated subwoofer. Retail price is around $1400 to start with.
IdeaCentre B500 is a really weird looking PC. Housing a Core 2 Quad CPU, 1TB of HDD space, up to 8GB DDR3 RAM and a 23-inch LCD, this thing can probably do alot of multitasking.
Then there’s the Lenovo U150 ultraportable, which has been available in japan for quite a long time. A ULV Core 2 Duo CPU and up to 8GB memory and a 320GB hard drive, all with a tiny 11.6-inch screen. Starts at $585.
