Starting January 28th of the fantastic upcoming year, 2013, Foursquare will start displaying your full name in search results inside of the app, as well as check-ins. Foursquare does acknowledge the fact that this could step on some toes, so they’ve allowed the option of allowing users to just use any name they want; basically a false identity.
There are many other changes to their app, including handing over more data to businesses, to better advertise and track users, to some extent. Grumble all you want; stuff happens.
