Intel experiments for a year with dunking entire servers into mineral oil for cooling

Intel made several tests for an entire year as part of Green Revolution Cooling, and with those tests, they seem to have achieved the best energy ratings for cooling servers that they’ve ever recorded. This was accomplished in an odd manner, however. Intel dumped entire servers into mineral oil, which is does not conduct electricity for safety purposes (obviously). But while this may save tons of energy, change parts would become an immense chore, along with oil spills and a continued reliance on mineral oils.
