Battlefield 3 Aftermath DLC detailed in full: 4 maps, new game mode, and more

This is the Battlefield 3 Aftermath DLC. And from the video seen after the break for Armored Kill, it is probably mesmerizing. Its brilliance of explosions and the theater of war displayed cannot be put into words, but somehow, I as the writer must somehow conjugate them for you. So, as a Battlefield 3 Premium player, you’ll have 2 weeks of early access to the Aftermath DLC, which include a new (unannounced) game mode, 4 new maps centered around Tehran (an earthquake-stricken Iran), as well as new vehicles based around both American and opposing forces improvising. As put simply:

“With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives,” DICE explained on the Battlefield site. “Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy.”

Details for release are later towards the end of this year, with Armored Kill debuting in September which includes the AC-130 gunship and snow maps.
