It has no microphone, no camera, no 3G, and certainly no high price tag — it’s $199 and has Wi-Fi. The screen is 7-inches and has a Gorilla Glass 1024x600 IPS resolution at 161DPI, the processor is a 1GHz TI OMAP dual-core setup, the Amazon App Store is included with over 10,00 apps, and there only is 8GB of onboard storage. Also, new owners of the Kindle Fire ill have a 30-day trial of Amazon Prime free, which will works for streaming multimedia like movies and TV shows, a fast web browser based off of Amazon Silk, which is cloud browsing that is incredibly quick, and the whole thing weighs only 14.6 ounces. The expected launch date is mid-November and is on pre-order today. Also interesting to note is that is comes pre-configured just like the original Kindle and requies no syncing, just OTA updates.
