Mac App Store Launching On The 6th Of January, Starting The Year With A Ruckus

So there’s an App Store for iOS, there’s Android Market for Android, there’s Marketplace for Windows Phone 7, and now the Mac App Store — for Macs. Categories included in the launch: Games, Education, Graphics & Design, Lifestyle, Productivity and Utilities. Apps can be free or paid apps (70% profit if a paid app), and even CEO Steve Jobs had something to say about it, naturally:

“The App Store revolutionized mobile apps. We hope to do the same for PC apps with the Mac App Store by making finding and buying PC apps easy and fun. We can’t wait to get started on Jan 6.”

That’s pretty much all left to this story. Mac App Store. 90 countries. January 6. Via: Apple PR
