It’s April Fool’s Day and that means the this report may have been thought to be legit, but in the end melts into a joke.That means you should be on your toes about now.
To start off, a Chinese site claims (as usual) that the above shot and the one after the break are both examples of the new Internet Explorer 9 UI. The back button for example borrows its cues directly from Windows Phone 7 Series, and the whole UI now looks reminiscent of it, too. It’s simple here: there’s pages/settings buttons, basic navigation buttons, a text-input bar (exactly like Chrome), and a variation of the whole show in blue instead of black. In fact, it looks like a WP7S mashup of Google’s Chrome. Disclaimer: This article was typed on Chrome, because it’s superior in terms of speed and looks.
Now we just have to ask ourselves, are the screenshots in this article made by some happy April fools in China? I could bet on that, but let’s keep it in limbo for now.
