LaptopMemo started in May of 2009, as at WordPress.com as laptopmemo.wordpress.com. Coming down the line, in September 2009, I rolled out this new site design, aimed to help you the reader enjoy LaptopMemo in a newer, cleaner, fresher, and more fun format. Since then, GoDaddy has been our main host, and has done a great job of doing so. And so I will talk about a top-secret entrepreneur project that I have been planning for the past 3 years, which my Mom started with me.
But let’s start off with how LaptopMemo was created: Being in 8th grade with a great vocabulary helps, but having no blogging experience what-so-ever does not help you much. Which is why I read other blogs grabbing bits and nuggets of information, and seeing how I could find my own writing style. As many of you probably think, so far I’ve been doing this exceedingly well, but I still think I’m looking for my writing voice. Now, the project I’m speaking of is called “Did You Know?”. It started off as a book (yes, imagine me writing a book! And I will.) which then dissolved into nothing, but was waiting for the right time to exist, which is now. “Did You Know?” will be a series of gadget facts and tips, which will be presented in the form of short, quick blog posts. The content will be completely original, and fun. Of course this will not get in the way of “Reviews”, because I can tell you that LaptopMemo will be having some pretty interesting ones, with a new Review coming in a couple of days. But now, I’d like to tell you how you can help us to make this new project even better.
A project like this needs a strong audience. having “Did You Know?” as a fun way of talking about gadgets and tech, or anything else for that matter, which doesn’t rely on the current news cycle, which sometimes can be bland, or not even there. So here’s how you can help us to make LaptopMemo find better ways to pay its bills (like GoDaddy Cloud Hosting), and have a bigger audience.

Through these ways LaptopMemo will find a bigger audience, and not only will be able to support itself, but will be able to expand. And that’s where fun stuff like “Did You Know?” comes in. So starting now, growse through some of our past posts, share them among your friends, comment, and write for us if you think you have the talent. And not only we’ll have a bigger audience, but if things pick up by May 2010, there will be a new site redesign, something that has drawn current readers of LaptopMemo like wildfire.
And with that, I have finished saying something I’ve wanted to say for 3 months time. I won’t do that again (waiting that long), that’s for sure.
