Going back into the fabled world of tablets? Well here is the king of them all, so much so that the Apple Tablet wouldn’t stand a chance (almost). Coming in at 8.5 x 11 inches, with a Palm Pre style of induction charging, an “8 gigaherz processor” (800Mhz??), the $75 (that’s right) OLPC X03 would be a major advancement in the world of tablets, gadgets, and education. Heck, it’s half as thin as an iPhone, it has multitouch, a semi-flexible plastic design, and 2 primary functions: e-reader mode and learning device. But remember, the Apple Tablet is more likely to come out than the X03, and the X03′s design relies on design that would probably have to come from 2012. So yeah, it’s a fantasy, but a fantastic one.
