IREX announces new e-reader, has support for Barnes & Noble E-Bookstore

IREX just announced the new IREX DR800SG. It boasts a 8.1 inch touchscreen, complete with a stylus and leather case, all for $399. No contract is required, Verizon provides the 3G wireless service which is entirely ‘free’, and it allows unlimited book and periodical downloading, all which is covered by the device’s cost.

One thing that is cool is that it has support for the Barnes & Noble e-Bookstore, so you can put all of your books on it. The new IREX DR800SG will be available at select Best Buys in October, and according to the New Times:

Best Buy is training thousands of its employees in how to talk about and demonstrate devices like the Sony Reader and Irex, and adding a new area to its 1,048 stores to showcase the devices.”
